Saint-Georges de Didonne will repeat the drone sound and light show in the summer of 2025

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the coastal town of Charente-Maritime once again chose to amaze its summer visitors with a Allumee drone show.

Having already won over the community in 2023, the municipality repeated the experience this year with 300 drones.

Replacing traditional fireworks

The municipality had already made the choice two years ago to find an alternative to traditional fireworks.

Indeed, the proximity to a forest massif – the Suzac forest – carries significant fire risks, especially during this period of drought.

The commitment of elected officials in 2025: to offer "« a true visual delight, a celebration of technology in the service of beauty, offering a luminous highlight to the season »,

The promise was kept with these 300 drones that took off from the Grande Plage with millimeter precision, to bring to life ephemeral scenes that delighted the public.

A poetic show on a summer theme

To pay tribute to the seaside resort, Allumee has chosen a festive show, with a summer theme, and an ode to holidays by the sea.

Around ten luminous figures thus formed over the Atlantic.

Marine animals: whale, seagull, dolphins, rays… followed by festive and musical scenes, ending in style at the iconic Vallières Lighthouse, an unmissable historical monument.

At the close of the show, the appearance of the phrase “Life is beautiful in Saint-Georges de Didonne” was met with cheers from the audience.

The audience was delighted by the event.

Tens of thousands of Saint-Georges residents and tourists had gathered on the Grande Plage to enjoy the highly anticipated drone show.

The audience was clearly won over by the performance, judging by the numerous rounds of applause.

This enthusiasm was also felt on social media.

Numerous photos and videos were posted following the event on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, from which we have gathered some comments:

“Fantastic, magical and poetic, it's moving to see all this technology. A very good time.”

“It was a first for me, a much more enjoyable spectacle than fireworks.”

“Lights in the sky, incredible shapes, a magical atmosphere. A truly suspended moment.”

The mayor and elected officials also gave a unanimous response: “Nothing but positive feedback!”

The Allumee team warmly thanks the city of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne for its renewed trust.
