Allumee and Sky Elements illuminate Monaco with a record-breaking show of 3,050 drones above the Formula 1 circuit
A historic record at the heart of F1
A unique spectacle marks F1's long-term commitment to Monaco and Las Vegas
MONACO — June 4, 2026 — Sky Elements, a global player in drone shows, produced a historic show of 3,050 drones this evening in Monaco, the largest drone show ever produced in the Principality and the first of this scale for Formula 1. Sky Elements handled the production in partnership with Allumee, its operational partner for this exceptional event.
Deployed above the Monte-Carlo skyline, the show traced the iconic Monaco Grand Prix track in the night sky, before revealing the entire F1 grid: the logos and single-seaters of each team, illuminated several dozen meters above the port.
The evening also celebrated two major milestones for motorsport: the renewal of the Monaco Grand Prix on the F1 calendar until 2035, and the extension of the Las Vegas Grand Prix until 2037; two of the championship's most iconic events secured for the next decade.
Why Monaco, why tonight?
«Monaco is the jewel of Formula 1, and we wanted to honor that heritage with something this audience had never seen before,» says Rick Boss, President and CEO of Sky Elements. «Flying 3,050 drones over this circuit, recreating the track and each team in the sky, is a major milestone for our company and for what live entertainment can now achieve.»
Sky Elements provided creative direction and production for the show, entrusting Allumee with the deployment and execution of the 3,050 drones. This collaboration strengthens the growing relationship between the two companies and reflects the increasing internationalization of large-scale drone shows.
«Operating a production of this scale in Monaco requires exceptional expertise and coordination,» emphasizes Edouard Ferrari, Founder and CEO of Allumee. ’We are honored that Sky Elements has entrusted us with the operation of this historic event. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the development of drone shows on the international stage.«
As drone shows continue to redefine large-scale public experiences around the world, the Monegasque production illustrates the growing ambition of event organizers seeking innovative and memorable formats to captivate global audiences.
