Exceptional evening in Roquefort: fireworks and drone show
A rich program focused on this treasure of French soil
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Roquefort-sur-Soulzon vibrated to the rhythm of a major event: the centenary of the Roquefort Protected Designation of Origin. A symbolic date for an iconic product, celebrated with pride and fervor by an entire region.
More than 5,000 people were present to celebrate this iconic Aveyron product in style. Families, producers, artisans, institutions, and visitors from across the region came together to take part in this historic day.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to enjoy numerous activities in a friendly atmosphere:
- tastings of culinary creations offered by starred chefs,
- parades of sheep,
- stands for young and old,
- concerts,
- artistic spectacle of the Celestial Clock…
A festive program, at the crossroads of heritage, gastronomy and local culture, which plunged Roquefort into a warm and festive atmosphere.
A fireworks display and 400 drones to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the AOP
At 10:45 p.m., the sky lit up in a magnificent show by Brezac Artifices, in collaboration with Allumee.
The entire village then froze to contemplate this suspended moment, between emotion and wonder.
For nearly 15 minutes, pyrotechnic sequences and an aerial drone ballet intertwined to tell, with a narrative soundtrack, a beautiful tribute to this flagship of cheesemaking. A breathtaking sound and light show that was entirely custom-made for the occasion.
Lights, music and technology have come together to symbolically retrace the unique link between Roquefort, its history, its producers and its ancestral know-how.
In the sky, the 400 drones drew the symbols dear to the region, between heritage, nature and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the AOP. We recognized sheep, the legendary cellars, the Larzac mountains, and of course the inscription "100 years AOP Roquefort", greeted by a round of applause.
