The Municipality of Verona offered its residents and visitors an extraordinary sound and light show of 500 drones above the Arena: "The Magic of Christmas", produced by the company Allumee.
An initiative carried out as part of Natale per Verona.
A first drone show in Verona
For the first time in Verona, a choreography of luminous and synchronized drones flew over the Arena, attracting the attention of locals and visitors.
This completely new show for the city took shape above the Amphitheatre over 3 evenings, bringing to life luminous images on the theme of Christmas.
During the opening night, hundreds of people gazed up at the Amphitheatre, following the figures and symbols traced high above by a fleet of synchronized drones, set to music and colors designed to capture the festive atmosphere. The event, promoted by the municipal administration, marked a first for the city: Verona had never before hosted an aerial choreography of this kind, capable of combining technology, visual storytelling, and highlighting the iconic monument.
«A Christmas-themed show to wish the city a Merry Christmas,» emphasized Deputy Mayor for Events Alessia Rotta, “and to invite everyone to the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics. This is the first time such an event has been held in Verona, and the first performance on the evening of December 15th was met with great enthusiasm by the audience.”

The project was supported by Agsm Aim and Generali Italia, with the backing of the Municipality of Verona. Following the enthusiastic reception on December 15th, the show was repeated on Friday, December 19th and Saturday, December 20th, the latter performance made possible thanks to Generali Italia.
The Magic of Christmas is a story for young and old, narrated by Santa Claus himself. Using 500 drones, he brings to life the powerful symbols of the holiday season and winter: snowflakes, Santa Claus, snowmen, gifts, Christmas trees, Tibiscuit…
A touching return to childhood, especially in the magical setting of the Christmas market on Piazza Bra in Verona.
«A Christmas-themed show to wish the city a Merry Christmas,” emphasizes Deputy Mayor for Events Alessia Rotta, “and to invite everyone to the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games. This is the first time an event of this kind has been held in Verona, and the first performance on the evening of December 15th was met with great enthusiasm from the audience. Hence the desire to offer new events, further enriching the already extensive program offered this year by the Municipality of Verona.”
The launch of Magis bridges innovation and tradition: on the one hand, the new identity of the Verona-Vicentine multi-service company, and on the other, the timeless scenography of the Arena, which hosts a form of sustainable, high-tech entertainment. The initiative is part of the city's widespread Christmas program, which distributes events and attractions throughout the city, aiming to make the holidays a shared and accessible experience.
