Drone show for the inauguration of the Auxerre Conservatory

On June 21, 2025—a fitting date for this Fête de la Musique—the city of Auxerre inaugurated its Conservatory dedicated to Music and Dance. A powerful moment, both culturally and emotionally, for an entire city united around the performing arts and artistic transmission.

A light show in homage to music

As night fell, the crowd gathered on the forecourt to admire an exceptional sound and light show featuring 500 drones over the Yonne. The river became a living mirror, reflecting the lights and emotions of an aerial spectacle that captivated young and old alike.

The sound and light show began with a scene in tribute to the Auxerrois Conservatory of Music and Dance, which opened its doors after two years of work.

An emotion already present from the very beginning of the show. The moment resonated like a celebration of patience, collective effort, and local artistic passion.

A musical journey in the sky of Auxerre

The drones then brought to life scenes in reference to the most legendary instruments: piano, harp, trumpet, violin, etc.

The luminous shapes, synchronized to the music, danced in the sky like living notes suspended in the air.

The crowd went wild with the rhythm of an eclectic musical medley for all ages.

An intergenerational and unifying soundtrack

Anthology hits, from classical to electro, including opera, jazz, rock, R&B, Hip Hop…

A skillfully orchestrated mix to bring together all audiences, from classical music lovers to pop culture fans.

Among these memorable works:

  • Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata
  • Freedom by Aretha Franklin
  • We Will Rock You by Queen
  • Harder BetterFasterStronger from Daft Punk

A powerful musical selection, designed to thrill both hearts and eyes.

The success of the Auxerre drone show

“The closing show, with its hundreds of drones illuminating the sky with their figures, was a great success.” reports Presse Evasion. A positive response that quickly spread in the local press and on social media.

A success that is confirmed, seeing the nearly 2,000 likes on the video transcribed by the city on social networks:

A first for the Auxerre public, who were largely won over!

This unforgettable moment will undoubtedly mark the cultural history of the city and inscribe the drone show as a new form of artistic and emotional expression with high impact.
