Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer all your questions in this FAQ!

How much does a drone show cost?

THE drone shows are a disruptive technology ahead of its time. Our rates start at 16,000 euros for a show performed several times in the same venue. Find details online price for a drone show.

We offer pre-designed scenographies each season.

How much time does it take to organize a show?

We recommend allowing 2 months to properly plan each milestone.

Please note that the processing time for the authorization request for the prefecture is 45 days for a public show and 30 days for a private show.

Our pre-filled files allow us to ensure that the prefectures provide their response quickly.

What happens if a show cannot take place due to an unforeseen event (weather, health restrictions)?

Together we will work to find a new date that works best for you.

Can you develop shows on a theme?

Yes, all the shows we design are based on a theme.

Then we look for images and inspirations that we can adapt into shows.

If you have an idea, our creative team would love to hear about your project.

How many drones can you fly?

The only limit is your imagination.

More concretely, our technical limit is 65,534 drones.

Can you fly outdoors and indoors?

Allumee produces shows exclusively outdoors.

Our drones position themselves in space using signals sent by GNSS satellite constellations (GPS, GALILEO, BAIDU).

Can you organize shows in all weather?

The constraints are similar to fireworks, we are limited to strong winds, heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Are shows above water possible?

Yes, we can operate over water. This requires additional precautions but will greatly simplify the implementation of a ballet in a dense urban area.

How long is a drone show?

Our drones have 25 minutes of effective flight time.

However, for safety reasons in case of very low temperatures or very strong winds, we design shows of 20 minutes maximum.

However, we can plan two fleets of drones that take turns every 20 minutes to create a perpetual spectacle.

How far can your shows be seen?

This will strongly depend on the surface area displayed in the sky and the density of drones.

A drone is visible up to 5 kilometers away, but on its own it will be difficult to see among other light sources.

On the other hand, 200 drones in dense formation can easily exceed these 5 kilometers.

How do you ensure that a drone does not fall on the public?

This is exactly the question that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation asked us, and we wrote a 200-page dossier to explain it.

They liked the answer! And we are allowed to fly anywhere in Europe.

In summary: Lots of security and simple, easily applicable procedures.

What are the risks to the public?

For the public the risk is extremely low, we have:

  • Software security
  • Hardware security
  • Observers
  • In the worst case, the drone will fall into the exclusion zone, where the public is not.
Does your company do fireworks?

We prefer to leave this area to specialist companies because it goes against our values, these shows generate a lot of nuisance (pollution, noise, fire).

How much time is needed between each show?

Technically, with two fleets taking turns, we can put on a continuous show.

With just one fleet, it will take us 30 minutes to change the batteries and calibrate the drones.

Who manages the authorizations with the different authorities?

We take care of this part to make sure nothing is missing on the big day.

Are drones reusable?

Yes, our drones are reusable. They are designed to fly for thousands of hours; we consider them a sustainable resource.

Why include a sound system in your performances?

We know that emotions are conveyed through sound. At Allumee, we are committed to providing a sound and lighting system that will delight spectators.

What information do you need to make a proposal?

In order to respond to your request as precisely and quickly as possible, we need the following information:

  • The desired duration of the show.
  • The number of drones you require. Please refer to the "Our Shows" page to see what we can do.
  • The possible flight zone(s). A Google Map link would be ideal.
  • The date of the performance.
  • The type of performance desired: catalog show or personalized show.
